Is this a missing functionality or am I not understanding something?
When setting the permissions of Apps in the main UI, options are Allow all, Deny all, Ask for permission, Apply rules
The "Default rule" can only be either Allow all, Deny all, or Ask for permission. There is no "Apply rules" option. So my setting is to Ask.
Now a notification pops up when an app attempts to make contact.
If I know this is an IP I want to block, but allow others, I click the drop down arrow and select to Ban or Allow address (the IP). But this does nothing permanently and only applies to this particular notification. Why? Because the "Default rule" is to Ask, so any fine tuning of "my rule" is not saved anywhere. Even when I to go into the main UI and change the app permission to "Apply rules", those IPs I told before to Ban or Allow are not there. Once the app permission is set to "Apply rules", then the notifications fine tuning answers are saved in the "rule" but not so until I manually set the app permission to "Apply rules". No amount of fine tuning via the notification popup will be respected by any subsequent notification.
